All these male evangelical-dominated conventions out in California get old. We should have our own progressive one in ChiTown. :-)

I think a bunch of non-con-ev Christian bloggers should show up and raise a little holy hell.;-) They wouldn't know what hit em.

Dunno—AKMA is in Evanston, I bet he'd come. There are three or four of us theologically-oriented progressive bloggers here in So. Ill. and up in NW Ill./Iowa where I went to school. And who knows, maybe we could get a prof from LSTC or McCormick to give a talk? Meadville-Lombard is up there, too.

The more I think about this, the cooler it sounds. The real trick would be to get a seminary or church up there to let us have some space for free or cheap...

So long as the hell is holy, we'd be happy to have you! After all, blogging is about rational discussion, is it not?

Sorry for the intrusion--found the post through Technorati.

Of course, as I'm sure you know by now, Bad Christian is putting together a blogvention in Grand Rapids. I think my wife and I are going to go. You all should come, too.
