That sounds great, but it isn't necessarily the case: Frist can, in fact, overcome the filly, and the Rove strategy of mobilizing the base ensures that the party in power doesn't have to listen at all to the minority.
It's important that we do as much as possible, but I don't think we should be surprised if the unthinkable happens.
Frankly, I'm ready to put my federalist money where my loud mouth is and just move my business and my capital to a blue state, or to sunnier climes outta America.

i live in a blue state and i thank god for that every single effing day.
i expect the unthinkable. i don't put anything past an administration that has no sense of history, irony or responsibility.
"Oh, crap" was my exact same thought when I saw the news about O'Connor. (Well...actually, that's the PG version of my thought.;-))
